How to resolve this ERROR with a "T" ahead??

Hey folks....

the country now thinks that its probably the time... the time to settle the ERROR once and for all... The time to bite the reality has infact come... lets be face to face with the situation...

my opinion...

the problem is not Pak but the PoK rather our Kashmir!!! That is the place from where the terror merchants are coming... thats the place where its all probably starting.... and we will need the strongest political/public will to take action... If the centre feels we are capable.. and when I say capable I mean capability in all forms... offense, defence, nuclear defence etc etc... and if we indeed are then the public sentiments are with those in power if they use the power.... and if anyhow they feel we are lackin somewhere in capability no need to play blame game and looking around.. time to rest diplomacy and direct action is here.....

wat say mates..

SEZ

Special Economic Zones.. as we are all aware are thriving all across the country. They are supposed to be the hub of infrastructure development, zones wherein taxes will be slashed, infrastructure will be developed for the upbringing of the region. Theplan was to boost the development throughout the nation. But the scenario is taking ugly turn in uneasy number of places. Be it the protest for use of cultivable land for SEZ, or the thoughts of polarising development, the news isnt heartening enough.

There has been talks that development of SEZ will develop the zone but will end up in being responsible for the under-development of other places. Simply said, if a businesman is getting to set up his business in SEZ at reduced taxes, will it not refrain him of thinking of the other regions, where the taxes imposed are higher? Will that not lead to a situation where a small section of our country will be developed but the rest will not.. and that too when resources from all over will be sucked up??

Already the news of forceful posession of the cultivable lands for these zones is hitting the air.

The concept seeems to be good enough on part of the planners but is it being properly IMPLEMENTED?

What do you guys have to say in this?

Who bosses the boss??

A need for Judicial Enlightenment

Over the past week, much debate has been raged over the statement made by our Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh on judicial activism and overreach.

The intervention of the apex court in reservation case (OBC quota) hasn’t gone too well with the politicians. For a head of state to question the powers of the judiciary in presence of Chief Justice, shows the state of distraught within the govt. Undoubtedly, in a political and democratic system such as ours, judiciary represents the voice of a common man.

An independent judiciary is the only means for a checking the rampant vote bank policies adopted by the govt.

But, besides supervising the legislative and executive, the main role of the judiciary is to set up an egalitarian social and economic order. It must provide coherent justice free from personal predilections. The present scenario, ironically is completely the opposite, obvious reason being the absence of jurisprudential discipline.

Thus, Chief justice, Balakrishnan and 400 odd high court judges have the responsibility to bring about reforms in their own system which has the supreme unchallenged power.

There must be a check on brother judges (of the lower courts) who are often influenced by money and power. We see innumerable cases in which the opulent finds the escape route with the weapons of influence and wealth. A prime example is the emotional breakdown of Justice Laxmanan inside the court while hearing Mulayam Singh’s case for disproportionate assets after receiving a threat letter. If a high court judge can be forced to withdraw from the case, just imagine how a district court judge could be influenced.

Not to forget the Jessica Laal murder case where the accused were scot-free by a lower court judge. Social and economic biases have become the working philosophies of many a judges. People have lost faith in the system. With over 20,000 cases pending with the President, the hope of getting justice has indeed been on the decline. Of late a few cases such as Priyadarshini Mutto and Jessica Lall have instigated some confidence in the judiciary but it seems a little too little, a little too late.

If judicial activism is must for a the proper functioning of the legislature, then Judicial enlightenment is the need of the hour for a free and fair society.

The selection to the courts is done behind closed doors and it must remain that way, but the selection procedure must consider individual ideas and philosophies. There must be a constant check on the lower court judges and promotions must be done on merit rather than experience. The awesome breath of judiciary power must be matched with real depth of Judicial Responsibility. Judiciary should realign itself with the Indian society and its existential plans.

Youth for equality Rocks and Mandal commission sucks.........

" RESERVATIONS SHOULD BE ON THE BASIS OF NEED, NOT ON THE BASIS OF CASTE AND CREED " - Rajiv goswami,DU, first student to attempt self-immolation to protest against reservations.

1980: Mandal commission's report was submitted.
1989: Government under the Prime Minister V.P. singh implemented the Mandal commission 's recommendations.
1990: Rajiv Goswami's act of self- immolation in protest against reservation.
24th February 2004: Rajiv Goswami expires.
But the trauma of reservation still looms large over the Indians.

Where should I start from???? All this is too big a issue..
Well, I ll start with the lines by Rajiv goswami, coz these are the lines which first caught my attention and forced me to think about quota and reservations.. I ll be very frank on the issue..

RESERVATIONS SHOULD BE ON THE BASIS OF NEED, NOT ON THE BASIS OF CASTE AND CREED . Rajiv Goswami said this. Who was Rajiv goswami??? History will remember him as the first person to take matters into his own hands after VP singh changed the course of Indian Educational system and put a full stop to the careers of many a bright students by acting on the report of the Mandal commission and increasing the quota to 27%. He attempted self-immolation. Though he survived it, he was plagued by other problems after that and he finally departed on 24th feb 2004.. I ll say thanks Heaven for that, coz now he is in a place where there are no reservations, no quotas and people go there on merit basis... GOD BLESS YOU RAJIV!!! WHAT YOU DID FOR US IS SOMETHING WE CAN'T DO EVEN FOR OURSELVES, LET ALONE OTHERS...

For me Rajiv is like any other student. He is You, me or any and every other youngster who is a graduate or an undergraduate. And that's why what he said touches my heart. It is so simple yet it is the underlying logic that should be adopted to eliminate reservations..

Why was reservation introduced??? Coz after independence there was a certain section of society who were socially and economically backward.. I beg to differ here. They were socially backward coz they were economically backward would be the right thing to say.. So , it was decided that seats would be reserved for them in colleges and jobs , so that they can eliminate their poverty and thus raise their social level... SO, WHAT IS THE CATCH HERE??? THE CATCH IS THE RESERVATION WERE INTRODUCED SO THAT ECONOMICALLY BACKWARD PEOPLE COULD EARN WELL AND COULD MAKE SURE THAT THEIR COMING GENERATIONS WOULD BE WELL OFF.........

So now that you have got the catch let us look at the present day scenario, i.e, 50 years down the line. Those people which were identified as OBCs are pretty well off. And even if they are not then what difference does that make. I mean, is every single person in the General category rich or affluent??? Is there no middle class or lower class???? And going by the catch we had identified earlier, shouldn't these people also be given reservations in premier institutes and in jobs????? Why is that a certain section of the society, who are not as economically backward as they were 50 years earlier , be given these privileges and why not to those people who ( fortunately and unfortunately )happen to fall in the general category?? ........

"WE ARE PROUD TO BE BACKWARD" (AND WE HAVE PROOF OF IT)
Where in the world do you see people who are proud to be backward;where people are ready to show you the proof of their backwardness to get admissions in premier institutes and otherwise they can drag you to court of law for calling them with names which depict their backwardness; where people just refuse to let go of this "backward"tag and image because they get privileges for being so called "backward class"....
It is as much our government's fault as much theirs. They give these so called "backward" classes reservations not only in premier institutes and jobs but at small level also. There are reservations in college hostels!!!!!!!!!!!!! And why in the Gods name should a student belonging to these backward classes get 5 books in the book bank of their college unlike general quota students who get 3 ( In spite of the fact that a very low percentage of these backward classes students have the ability to complete their degree;others just quit or keep take years and years to complete it ).. I mean this is preposterous..

Sachin n Federer.....Heroes are falling.. Weirdoes r ruling!!

HEROES ARE FALLING ALL AROUND US......

First it was sachin in the line of fire after India's %*$#%*@ performance ( actually i have no word to describe it ) in the world cup - From zero to hero- and now its the perfectionist Roger federer ( RF ), who lost to a Mr. Canas ( thats right, he was unknown till roger lost to him. also his first name is tough :) ) twice in past month. Though one can say that we shouldn't read too much into that. After all RF is also a mortal ( though many of us might deny that ) and is antitled too loose at times . like every mortal is... But this is threatening to become a consistent affair- what first with Nadal and now Canas- so future might not b as bright for RF. Though many of us might beg to differ on this ( its not their fault, i m also in awe of King Fed )..
What AMAZES me is that this issue of RF loosing to Canas becomes a bit touchy inspite of that fact that he is not an Indian ( Yeah!!! He belongs to the land of chocolates, switzerland ) !!! This is perhaps coz of the fact that RF is one of that most amazing human being not only in tennis but in all of the sports n none would want to c him loosing ( except to an Indian, though it is too distant a dream to even dream of ;) ) . I ll substantiate it by using the example of the world champions of Cricket, Australia.. Even though Australians are one of the best cricket teams ever ( Whether u accept it or not n it has nothing to do with me being a bigot!!! ) , people all over the world, except the australians of course, would love to c them loosing. This is coz they arrogant n bashful unlike the West Indian team of 70's n 80's which everyone loved n wanted to c it winning every game...... Its weirdoes who r ruling right now..
Please ,do leave ur comments.....
